A super simple slow cooker recipe for shredded chicken in a tomato-yogurt-curry sauce.

Ingredients | Shredded Chicken Instant Pot Chicken Recipes

  • ½ cup fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger root
  • 1 ½ pounds skinless chicken breasts
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce, or to taste (Optional)

    • Directions

  • Combine yogurt, tomato paste, onion, garlic, curry powder, ginger, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker. Add chicken breasts and mix with yogurt sauce.
  • Cook on Low until chicken is tender and cooked through, about 8 hours. Shred with 2 forks.
  • Cook's Note:
  • We added a little sriracha sauce at the end.
  • Try using a liner in your slow cooker for easier cleanup
